The Backscatter Octo 3500 uses two Xtar 18650 4000mAh protected lithium-ion batteries. These batteries include safety features like overcharge protection and allow for quick swaps between dives to support all-day shooting.

Travel with an extra set of batteries for each light to ensure fast replacements.

At maximum power, the light provides a 70-minute runtime, maintaining full 3500-lumen brightness for the first 50 minutes. After this period, the light enters safety mode and ramps down power for an additional 20 minutes. This feature ensures you always have light during critical moments or night dives.

Always carry a separate dive torch in dark conditions and avoid relying solely on video lights for general diving needs.
